Church's Message

The Triquetra

The Triquetra

The Triquetra, "Symbol of the early church "SEAL OF CIC, USA. Ephesians chapter four speaks of the church coming into the unity of the Faith. The Triquetra is a symbol of unity. A design consisting of three arcs: its' richness may be noted in that each half the length pair of arcs form a vesics piscis (bladder of a fish).
A fish in the early church was a symbol of soulwinning. God gave our founder, Bishop J. L.Payne this symbol representing the Christ International Churches, USA body interwoven and interlaced structure with each arc interwoven into oneness. The followers of Jesus Christ interwined, thus forming one design which symbolizes the unity of the Eternal God as the Father is the Creator, Son and Holy Spirit. God the Father is the Creator, revealed by Jesus Christ, operated in humanity as the Holy Ghost.

The Seal of the Chief Apostle

The Unity is shown in the Triquetra as unity of purpose. There is a memorable christian legend about the fish symbol in the triquetra. A conventionalized form of the fish is the vesica. This is the Latin for the bladder of a fish. This symbol, whenever we see it, reminds us of an heroic time when Christiana underwent persecutions and trials for their faith and succeeded in spreading the Gospel despite many obstacles. While the single fish respresent the Savior, several fishes respresent faithful Christians. In Matthew 4:19 the beginnings of the development of the symbol can be seen in Jesus' words: " And He said to them, follow me, and I will make you fishers of men."

As the Seal of the Christ International Churches, USA   is recognized; it signifies more than a movement. There is an undying message pointing in the direction the church must go for these times to fufill it's role of LEADERSHIP for the world. we as the Church is untimately the only answer for these times.
